What pre-treatment precautions should I take?
- Avoid hair removal methods that pull hair: Do not use methods like electric epilators, tweezers, wax, or threading on the treated areas throughout the duration of the treatment. Shaving is the only acceptable method.
- Shave the treatment area: Shave the area to be treated the day before your session to ensure that the hair is level with the skin’s surface.
- Do not use local anesthetics: Avoid using local anesthetics as the sensation of heat is an important indicator for adjusting treatment parameters.
- Avoid photosensitizing substances: Refrain from using photosensitizing substances (e.g., antibiotics, certain dietary supplements, and essential oils) one week prior to your session.
- No sun exposure or tanning: Do not expose the treated area to the sun, tanning beds, or self-tanning products 2 to 4 weeks before your session to minimize the risk of burns or hyperpigmentation.
What to avoid on the day of your session?
- Ensure your skin is clean and dry, free from makeup, creams, deodorants, or any other cosmetic products.
- There should be no irritations, rashes, or injuries on the treatment area to avoid any discomfort during the session.
What should be followed after session?
- Avoid sun exposure on the treated area for 3 days.
- Refrain from swimming, hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, or intense physical activities for 3 days to prevent irritation or increased sensitivity.
